A little something about me...
I have been in the business since 1988. I started off in catering school in Italy, I worked in restaurants in the UK, Berlin Germany, back to Italy and came back to work in the UK in 1989 working as a manager in a Restaurant I Reading then started my own business in 1992.
I started Dolch Vita in 1993 and five year later I started a restaurant in Maidenhead before starting Ruchetta in Wokingham in 2002.
A customer said to me ‘where can you find these foods that we come here to eat – where can I get them for myself?’– I knew the techniques of catering and food preservation, I have some great contacts in Italy and I buy directly from Italy, because it is better quality. So I opened my own Deli, Angelo’s Deli in Wokingham
I have so may unique foods that I want to put in my Deli so I aim to grow it and offer something very different.
I also do catering where my customers want restaurant food – Roast Turkey, Roast Gammon, Sirloin Scotch things that supermarkets don’t really offer. All freshly cooked and the best quality you can get.
Recently I cooked a 16Kg gammon which I had to boil for 6 hours then Roast for 4 hours. You just can’t get that anywhere and we happily provide that service to our customers.
